As a new member, you should consider purchasing the Tropical Blue Uniform. This basic uniform can be worn for most Auxiliary activities.   

TROUSERS: Same as those for Service Dress Blue uniform.
BELT: A black web belt with a silver buckle and tip. May be plain or display the Auxiliary emblem.
SHIRT: Light blue, short sleeve shirt. Air Force style with stand-up collar,  stays and epaulets. Worn open, without a tie.
SOCKS: Black, undecorated.
SHOES: Black, smooth material. Low cut without decoration. There shall be no stitching or seams across the toe. Heels shall be no higher than 1 inch. Sole edges, heels, and laces must be black.
INSIGNIA: Enhanced (or soft) shoulder boards are worn.
BREAST INSIGNIA/DEVICES: Name tag, ribbons and Auxiliary Qualification devices.
HAT: The garrison cap or combination hat (shown)
ACCESSORIES: The Reefer, Overcoat, Windbreaker, Trenchcoat and Wooly Pully, with enhanced (or soft) shoulder boards, may be worn with the uniform.

Women's Uniform
if Above Tropical Blue Trouser is not chosen

SKIRT: Same as  Service Dress Blue, Bravo Uniform.
SHIRT: CG style shirt with a stand-up collar, short sleeves, epaulets, the collar is worn open with no tie.
STOCKINGS: Stockings are worn with dress shoes and shall be made of plain material, flesh-color, undecorated. Stockings will be seamless. When wearing trousers, black socks, may be worn when wearing service shoes.
SHOES: Dress Shoes or  Service Shoes
INSIGNIA: Soft or enhanced shoulder boards are worn.
BREAST INSIGNIA/DEVICES: This uniform is worn with ribbons, breast insignia, qualification devices and name tags.
HAT: The garrison or woman's combination cap is worn with this uniform.
ACCESSORIES: The Reefer, Overcoat, Trenchcoat, and Wooly Pully may be worn with the uniform.

The ODU (Operational Dress Uniform) will be worm for operational activities such as Boat Crew, and this uniform is Unisex.

Where do I get the uniforms?

The Uniform Distribution Center (online) or Lighthouse Uniforms (online) The Auxiliary also has its own stores in each district which do business via mail order and set up a store at the district conference. For a catalog/price list, see your FSO-MA. (Flotilla Staff Officer - Materials) Some private companies also sell CG and Auxiliary uniforms.
Auxiliarists with a current, laminated ID card with photo have access to CG exchanges for any and all purchases except alcohol and tobacco. Auxiliarists can use DOD (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force) exchanges to purchase uniform items and accessories only.
